John Anderson is a Senior Policy Advisor in the Environment and Land Use Practice Group. He has more than two decades of experience in national energy policy, wind, solar, and other large-scale project development, and environmental regulation and policy. Mr. Anderson is recognized as a national industry leader advising public and private entities in the areas of federal and state siting and environmental compliance policy and advocacy, addressing policy issues as they relate to wildlife, and advising on issues associated with public and private land use, sound, public health and safety, property values, visual and cultural resources, aviation, and radar. Prior to joining Nossaman, Mr. Anderson was the Senior Director, Permitting Policy and Environmental Affairs with the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA). He also spent several years acting as an Environmental Affairs Manager at BP Alternative Energy, where he managed the permitting activities for 18 wind and solar projects in seven different states and led the compliance activities at the company’s operating facilities.
